Happy Holiday Season Everyone!

It’s everyone’s favorite time of year: the holidays, when shoppers line up to buy snacks for their parties. Pretzels and popcorn fly off the shelves. Chips are heavily shopped as well! And the pallets, oh all the many pallets! It’s a stressful time for sure, but as long as we stay focused on those priorities and work together, we can continue to have success! I will do what I can to get the backroom caught up tonight. Thanks everyone for your hard work!
Tasks For Friday, December 19
Caden and Atlas: there are a few notes I need to communicate with you regarding the tasks that are assigned for today.
Willow Tree

Above you can see that Elizabeth requested that during the next Willow Tree service, we need to modify the shelf strips so that the PID card is on the right of the price tag. So while servicing Willow Tree, please make sure all PID cards that are on the left of the tag are corrected so they can be on the right instead. You can either slice up the shelf strips or acquire a Zebra and a Zebra printer and cover over the shelf strips so the card is on the right and the newly printed tag is on the left. I included an example of how I did that below.

Check every shelf to find any PID card that is on the left of the tag and modify it so it is on the right. The displays can be borrowed from the endcap, which will be taken down soon. There are a few more tricks and tips I want to mention as well.
IMPORTANT: Make sure to include in the notes that you took the time to fix the PID card positions!

Borrow the Willow Tree Lots of Love display from the endcap to replace the damaged figurine that is missing the piece held in the figures hand. The figurine on the pod does not have the heart in hand.

For the “Prayer of Peace” figurine, I have been removing the figure from the box and not writing display on it, but just placing it as a display, taking the photo, and then putting it back in the box. I don’t want there to be no product for sale with the display figurine all that is left. So please do this again unless we have more than one box.
I put Manager review on this task to make sure everything is good.
Battle of the Categories
For the “Battle of the Categories”, make sure that the Club and Townhouse display in the center aisle is properly signed and take a picture of that. The Utz barrels should be on the other side of that center aisle.

Please run the three DSD carts. Spend time in coffee making sure the BOHs are correct, the lows and outs are listed, and everything is fully stocked. Do the same for Crackers and Drinks. Caden, I want you to take care of the coffee aisle.
I will be back Saturday. Thanks for keeping the OSA above 96 while I was gone! Have a Good Friday!
Reindeer Run Recap!
We had another successful visit for Reindeer Run with Casey and Tim Roskamp, who was with him, very pleased with the condition of the store. Casey especially was impressed with the status of our backroom and how organized it looked, so thanks everyone for your contributions. Below are some pictures of the decorations. We also only had one incorrect answer for the trivia. Thanks Emmi and Atlas for contributing!

Recap of Last Week (and Q3) At 298
Congratulations team! We exceeded the goal I had set for us. Not only did we finish with an OSA above 97% for the quarter, but we achieved .33% above that number. Not only did we pass store 300 to enter the top 3 stores for the quarter, but we leap frogged store 239 to finish at number 2! A top 2 store in a region of 27 stores is something to celebrate!

For the week, we finished with a 98.38, which was good for third (store 304 took first place), but I am most impressed with the achievement of three 98% and above OSA weeks in Period 10! That made for an impressive 148 bowling score and 5 strikes!

And we even finished in first place for P10 with a 98.19%!

For the quarter, we are once again on track to be number one in project completion percentage, and this quarter, I delegated tasks throughout the team, and we only saw one miss from that. Everyone contributed to the project completion percentage success this time. Thank you team for your role in continuing our reign is top project completion store!

I am so proud of this team and excited for the continued success! Every member of this team is valuable to our success and I appreciate all you do! On to Q4, a very busy season for sure, but I have no doubt that we are up for the challenge!
This Week At Store 298
There will be a corporate visit on Wednesday! Outside of that, ad changeover does not appear to feature any changes. There are only 4 hours of resets at Fresh Thyme, and then two weeks without resets. We started a new quarter and with that quarter comes a commitment to utilizing this website for communication and OSA. More updates coming very soon to this site!
Gameplan For Monday, November 10!

I worked alone overnight without the help of Hyer, since he was not available, so I wasn’t able to finish as much as I had hoped. I started by working on the Trim a Tree follow up, which involved locating and adding quite a few displays. I also did the Yogurt reset and after that I ran a live cart. What I discovered though was a lot of outs needed to be ran from backstock, so I had to stop running live load to fill from backstock. So there are a few carts left, but priorities were completed
I will have a priority list available for the incoming live load, but outside of that, just run the leftover live load to start. There are 9 pallets, which is definitely an undertaking, but hopefully that means fewer pallets tomorrow.
I also need the following displays filled and looking good!
Meijer Chips

Please remember to fill this endcap when stocking any chips. If you don’t have enough flat or ripples, consolidate the shelves with those chips and expand the tortilla chips.
Snyder Chex Mix

This LOOKS good but there is not too much behind the front row, so remember to stock Snyder to this endcap. There is a 4×2 ad sign for Snaps behind the 7×11, so when you put out the Snaps that arrive today, you can put out that sign.
Frederiks Coffee Endcap

Any extra Frederiks Ground or Pod coffee can be cut into this endcap to make it look as full as possible. Wednesday is a corporate visit so they will be extra honed in on our displays, so give them the attention they need. Especially Meijer brands
Remember also to face the displays in the center aisle. Complete what you can of live load and I will be in tomorrow to pick up where you leave off. I don’t see any ad changeovers on the display plan, so we could possibly get a lot done tomorrow, ahead of the visit.
Recap of Last Week At 298
For the second week in a row, our OSA surpassed 98 percent, this week ending at a 98.32, which was good enough for top 3 of the week!

With one week to go, thanks to this past week’s performance, we have cracked the top 3 for OSA in the region over the full quarter. We overtook store 300! We may even have a shot at number two in the region! Our 98.01% OSA in Period 10 is the TOP in the region!

We also have seen consecutive sales growth weeks that have encroached the sales growth goal of 4%!
This Week at Store 298
Moratorium officially begins, so no Homestore resets for the next two months, but we still have Fresh Thyme resets this week. There are 11 hours total, though one of the sidekicks will be submitted as store cancelled/refused because the store has already stated they do not want an Owala sidekick. Here is the schedule:

There will be a page for projects and resets on this website for communication on upcoming sets and tasks.
There are new holiday displays going out soon, including some planned displays as well.

Outside of that, this week we had to put out the trees. This will be completed on Wednesday because the store was not fully ready. We also start Holiday services this week. More updates to this website coming soon, but the latest is a means to track the lows and outs. More details on that soon.
Gameplan For Friday, October 31!

There were quite a few carts left over from Wednesday, which was fully understandable because of displays and task, but I had Javon run what he could. I ran priorities as I broke down the pallets, but I also had a few tasks and spent some time at the end of the day trying to organize everything as much as possible. There are a lot of pallets incoming but I don’t need all of it done. I again need you to focus on priorities.

Please put the backstock away in the proper locations on that backstock cart. I had intended on doing it but I ran out of time. This will clear out one cart. Clear out as many carts as you can to make space for incoming live load
Run Priority Items
Utilize the priority list (linked here) throughout the shift as you stock from live load. Make sure to stock the items with an *asterisk as they are the most urgent. I will check at the end of the day to see if I’ve received an e-mail of what you completed (Caden, I am putting you in charge of this list. At least one item on each pallet has to be checked)
Holiday Items
Palletize any holiday items and inform whoever is available (Ryan or Rebecca) that they arrived. They approved them, so now we just need to know where to put them.
Of course, you also have a few services to do, so please do those. I will be in Fresh Thyme for three hours (hopefully no more) and then I’m in tomorrow to help complete the tasks and run as much of what is left as I can. Just take care of the priorities.
Thanks for all you do!
Recap of last week at 298!
We had the number 1 OSA in the region with a 98.58%!

This week also brought our Q3 OSA above my goal of 97%, 97.13%, up from 96.94%. We can continue to climb if we utilize saved lists and this website and communicate lows and outs!

We are at number 4 in the region for Q3, and catching up to our Pod 69 cohort, store 300!
We barely fell short of a 100 or above Bowling score, only three points shy, but a new game starts again! Remember, gift cards are awarded to the team based on the score, and utilizing the Lows and Outs can provide opportunities for spares!

This Week at Store 298
Ad changeover week! We will be setting displays for the new ad start date of Wednesday, October 29. Remember to visit the display page for photos of each display, which will be updated Thursday.
